Half-term Family Fun

Welcome to home learning in Year 2

Is it safe to go outside?

Lots of our families have been asking if it is safe to go outside. It is safe, if you follow the government's advice - click on the picture to see this

Free school meals

We have had several queries about Free School Meals. Please note that the decision is not made by schools and only families that meet the government's eligibility criteria can receive the vouchers. If you meet the eligibility criteria for free school meals outlined below you can apply online. There is more information, and a link to the online application form, on our parent page here.

More information for parents can be found on our home learning Parent Page here

Every Monday to Thursday you can watch and listen to your maths lesson and then answer the questions from the worksheets. You can click on the worksheets to view them and print them out, or you can write your answers on a piece of paper. Fridays are a bit different. Our maths scheme, the White Rose Maths Hub, has combined with the BBC to create a Friday maths challenge. Challenges 1-6 are recommended for Year 6.

Active break

Now it's time to take a break and get active. Go to our Get Active section and choose one of his fun activities! Click here, or use the suggested activity below. After your break have a healthy snack and drink.

Enjoy a healthy lunch and take a break to do something active - see if you can take a walk out in the fresh air

Kindness calendar

Earlham is a kindness school. As a Kindness School, we place kindness and empathy among students at the centre of our school. We believe a society in which its members show mutual respect and tolerance is one that grows ever stronger. We also believe that teaching values of kindness and empathy is a vital part of childhood education, especially at this very difficult time.

The Kindness School Foundation, of which we are a member, has developed a 'kindness calendar' with activities we can all do to help others as well as support our own wellbeing. Click the picture to see the full calendar
